Special edition Fortuner to get cosmetic changes
Toyota will soon launch a more stylish version of the Fortuner SUV, called the Fortuner TRD Sportivo.
As you can tell from the spy pictures, the Fortuner TRD Sportivo will get additional bits like TRD-badged skirts for the front and rear bumpers and a roof-mounted rear spoiler. As seen in other TRD Sportivo special editions such as the Liva and Etios, Toyota may also add minor interior upgrades to this special edition Fortuner. Our sources tell us that this will only be a cosmetic job and there will not be any changes mechanically.
What remains to be seen though is which versions of the Fortuner will be offered with the TRD Sportivo kit. Currently, the Fortuner is available in three variants, a 4x2 manual, 4x2 automatic and a 4x4 manual.
Expect the Fortuner TRD Sportivo to be priced slightly higher than the standard variants of the Fortuner.
