Bugatti Chiron teased

Bugatti has released a teaser image of its upcoming Veyron replacement, the Chiron, prior to its public reveal at the Geneva motor show 2016. The official teaser image shows the car under covers.
Named after Louis Chiron, a former racing driver for the company during the 1920s and 30s, the new car borrows styling details from the Vision Gran Turismo concept which was revealed at the 2015 Frankfurt motor show. Images of test mules have shown styling elements borrowed from the concept, such as thinner LED headlight clusters, a more prominent front grille and flatter bonnet.

Though no details as to the new car’s powertrain were revealed, Wolfgang Dürheimer, Bugatti's president, said: “The development brief for the Chiron can be summarised in one sentence, which is probably the shortest in the history of the automobile: We want to make the best significantly better. The Chiron will set new standards in every respect. We will continue to produce the world’s most powerful, fastest, most luxurious and most exclusive production super sportscar. This is the claim of Bugatti and our customers.”

Bugatti is said to have showcased the Chiron to prospective customers, and is stated to have received orders for 100 units of the car.
